The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediation effect of emotional exhaustion on the relationship between life sports instructors on emotional labor and turnover intention. In order to achieve this objective, 260 life sports instructors working at a sports center across Seoul, Gyeonggi Province as of 2021 were selected for analysis. In terms of the sampling method, this study used convenience sampling and it extracted 259 subjects for analysis. Hypothesis test on collected data was conducted by using Amos Graphics 23.0 Version. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the causal effect of emotional labor, emotional exhaustion, turnover intention in life sports instructors was statistically significant. Concretely, emotional labor had positive(+) influence on emotional exhaustion. Emotional labor had positive(+) influence on turnover intention. Emotional exhaustion had positive(+) influence on turnover intention. Second, there is the mediation effect of emotional exhaustion on the relationship between life sports instructors on emotional labor and turnover intention. In conclusion, emotional exhaustion of sports instructors is a key factor in understanding the process of emotional labor on turnover intention.
