In consumer life, consumption value is important because it acts as an answer to how to consume. This study focuses on ethic of consumption, which is important in consumer life, and examines the relationship between ethic of consumption types and consumer life satisfaction. In particular, by using the active participation of consumers as a mediator, the influence on the path of ethic of consumption and consumer life satisfaction was examined. In this study, the types of ethic of consumption are divided into basic market economy, commerce, and universality. Using this, this study focused on the ethic of consumption and classified the types. In addition, active participation was used as a mediator to examine the effect of consumer life satisfaction. This study used the results of the 2021 Consumer Lifestyle Survey in Korea for analysis. In addition, a total of 5,915 data for consumers using traditional market were used for analysis. To test the hypothesis, empirical analysis was conducted through multiple regression analysis. In addition, the analysis results using process macros were presented to verify the mediating effect.
As a result of hypothesis testing, it was found that basic market economy ethics and universality ethics had a positive(+) effect on consumer life satisfaction through active participation. Commerce ethics was found to have a direct positive (+) effect on consumer life satisfaction. Through these results, it was possible to grasp the positive relationship between ethic of consumption and consumer life satisfaction. Through the research results, the importance of ethic of consumption in consumer life was once again suggested. In addition, it was attempted to identify the types of consumption ethics that are important for consumer life satisfaction. This study is meaningful in that it focuses on the important ethic of consumption in consumer life and empirically analyzes the relationship with consumer life satisfaction. In addition, it is significant that the policy data of the 2021 Consumer Lifestyle Survey in Korea was used for research in the consumer field.
