The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on children’s creativity and emotional intelligence by devising and implementing an integrated musical activity using a musical fairy tale. For this purpose, out of 48 5-year-old children, 24 children from one class were randomly assigned to the experimental group and 24 children from another class were randomly assigned to the control group. In addition, the comprehensive creativity test tool of young children by Jeon Kyung-won (2010) and the emotional intelligence evaluation tool for young children through teacher evaluation by Lee Young-ja, Lee Jong-sook and Shin Eun-soo (2000) were used to measure young children’s emotional intelligence. This study was conducted for a total of 17 weeks in the order of inspector training and preliminary examination, teacher training, pre-test, experimental value, and post-test. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 21.0 program to investigate the effect of integrated music activities using music assimilation, and T-test was performed on the increase in the experimental and control groups. As a result, integrated music activities using music fairy tales had a positive effect on young children's creativity, such as fluency, flexibility, originality, and imagination. Second, it had a positive effect on emotional intelligence, such as the recognition and expression of emotion, the promotion of thinking by emotion, the use of emotional knowledge, and the control of emotional reflection. Therefore, it is expected that the integrated music activities using music fairy tales will be effective alternatives to improve young children's creativity and emotional intelligence, and that the implementation will be generalized in the field.
