Although the world envies Korea for its success in industrialization, democratization, and advancement in half a century, various statistics show that individual citizens are not happy and trust between each other is weakening due to a lack of community. To solve these problems, the government has become very interested in the local community, and is striving to build trust and develop residents" autonomy by promoting various support projects to revitalize the local community. Many scholars argue that active participation in community activities to which they belong will create trust, and through this, social capital will accumulate as networks are formed, and residents"s autonomy will develop. In this logic, apartments inhabited by a large number of Koreans are a key community for the development of resident autonomy, and the role of the head of the apartment management office to induce active communication and participation of residents is increasingly important. Therefore, in this study, a survey of 207 apartment management heads was conducted on the operation of the apartment community and ways to improve it. As a result of the survey, residents" indifference, and lack of facilities and programs were analyzed as obstacles to the revitalization of the apartment community. To improve this, the revitalization of the tenant representative meeting is most necessary, and the government"s financial support and expansion of its own programs were suggested as alternatives.
