Since Comenius' posthumus work, Allgemeine Beratung der Verbessenmg der menschlichen Dmge was discovered, a number of people began to ask what he can make us understand or realize in our age, and especially how his peculiar thought and study in the fields of theology, philosophy, and pedagogy will be taken in our age. The noticeable trend of asking and answering to these questions tells us that his thought contains some similarity which leads our modem age more than the eighteenth or nineteenth century to sympathize with his thought To get the answer to this question, this paper deals with how he influenced in the fields of his interest while he was alive. As a result his influence is proved to be a practical alternative which can solve some problems of modem education. Comenius' educational thought still has chance to be applied practically in some aspects. His educational thought provides modem education from which God is exempted with a theological basis so that education can recover a sound relationship to God. In other words, his educational thought not only suggests the goal and direction of knowledge in modem education which is addicted to practical knowledge, but gives a view for the synthesized education to our modem education of partiality and separation. Furthermore, Comenius' educational thought is outstanding in that it shows the theoretical basis and methods specifically for education for the whole man in the light of Christianity. With the advent of the twenty first century the world is gelling involved in some chaos and a turnoil of bloody war to the contrary to all people's expectation. Though the world is shaking people so harshly, people should rather go back to the oligin of mankind and things and try to remain calm, just as Comenius did so 400 years ago, in the middle of the confusion of the thirty-year war in Europe.
