Yun Gon Gang's poems suggest a special poetic world by the consciousness for the real based on the sensibility of the nature and show a variety of trends to expand and develop a genre of lyric poetry in 1930's. Recently, study of his poems has been actively developed to brighten the special characteristics of his poems.
In his poems, the image of ‘room’ in a house is notably related to the structure of space. The ‘room’ is also called as ‘a back room’ or ‘bedroom’ in his poems. The ‘room’ and the ‘world’' are not just a juxtaposition. The ‘room’ and the ‘world’ seemed to activate each other as the contradictory dreams in an imaginary world.
The reflection on the diverse strata of life deployed by the routines and complexity of the real world could make the concept of ‘space’ extended. Moreover, it could make its poetic meaning recovered. The aesthetic peculiarities of the poem has a close relation with its aesthetic consciousness of ‘space’. The process of figuring space depicted in his poem shows his inner world of self-consciousness. The symbolized space reflects his consciousness world.
