This thesis was written in order to search Chunhyang’s social positional peculiarity and it’s structural function from various of 〈Chunhyangjeon’s〉 versions. Conclousions are as follows.
First, after consider Chunhyang’s positional realization aspects devide nominal position into real position, through this induced Chunhyang’s positional peculiarity to ‘liquidity’.
Second, positional peculiarity that is ‘liquidity’ has a foundation of generic and social side, and inquired positional liquidity have a certain correlation with these generic property and social trend. And I emphasized that we must consider these in interpretation of the structure of the work.
Third, I considered about transfigure trend of positional liquidity devide into work-side, chronicle-side, block book-side. As a result, in work-side all versions in common changes from ‘gisaeng Chunhyang’ to ‘non-gisaeng Chunhyang’, in block book-side every block book had not a certain consistent transfigure trend, and in chronicle-side between ‘gisaeng Chunhyang line’ and ‘non-gisaeng Chunhyang line’ had not clear chronicle correlationship.
In the last, I considered positional liquidity structurally how to function relate to character, conflict, subject at work. Conclusionly, Chunhyang’s character has not a certain contradiction or antinomy as existing theories assert. and at ‘non-gisaeng Chunhyangjeon’ or all versions irrationality of come into being conflict not exist, and subject of affection inclusion subject of position and subject of fidelity in all versions, at once because it raise lasting and consistent meaning, Chunhyangjeon’s subjective meaning lie in the subject of affection.
