Calvin`s thought of God is not particularly researched in spite of very important subject in his theology, because that Calvin doesn`t only systematize the doctrine of God, but also restrains himself from explaining of God. Nevertheless. he speaks even partially and intermittently of God. Therefore we can research and systematize his thought of God. According to Calvin, God is infinite and spiritual essence. At the same time, God exists everywhere in the world. He is both transcendent and immanent. Many scholars have understood that God`s bi-polarity by Dialectic. However, what kind of Dialectic? Dialectic is explained by two ways in the history of western spirituality. One is the heglian and the other is the kierkegaardian. The former has the structure of these, anti-these and syn -these. On the other hand, the latter`s property is forever coexistence of the opposites. It is also expressed by the term of "paradox" . What is Dialectic of Calvin`s God? In Calvin s thought of God, there are eminently bi - polarity of the opposites, by example, the transcendence and immanence, divinity and humanity, the Judge and Redeemer etc.. And the opposites coexist forever, but didn`t appear syn-these. Therefore we can estimate with reason that the Dialectic in Calvin`s thought of God is kierkegaardian.
