The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relations among child care teachers` job stress, teacher efficacy, organizational commitment, burn-out and turnover intention, and to the mediating effects of teacher efficacy, organizational commitment, burn-out on the relation between child care teachers` job stress and turnover intention. Participants of this study were 517 child care teachers working in private child care centers located in D Metropolitan City. The teachers were assessed with measures of job stress, teacher efficacy, organizational commitment, burn-out and turnover intention Collected data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. The results of this study were as follows: First, child care teachers` job stress had negative effects on their teacher efficacy, organizational commitment, burn-out and turnover intention, and child care teachers` teacher efficacy and organizational commitment had negative effects on their burn-out and turnover intention. In addition, a significant relation was found between child care teachers` job stress and turnover intention. Second, child care teachers` teacher efficacy, organizational commitment and burn-out had partial mediating effects on the relation between their job stress and turnover intention. The results of this study suggest that child care teachers` burn-out and turnover intention can be decreased by improving their teacher efficacy and organizational commitment. Accordingly, organizational efforts to promote child care teachers` teacher efficacy and organizational commitment are needed, in order to prevent their burn-out and turnover and to improve the quality of child care services.
