Report Errors
This study examined the effect of teaching efficacy on peer interaction and mediating effect of teacher-child interaction. Participants were 1,017 preschoolers in korea. Data were analyzed by Structural Equation Model. Major ficings were as follows. First, Teaching efficacy showed direct effect on peer interaction. That was the more teachers have teaching efficacy, child showed the more positive play interaction, less play disconnection and disturbance. Second, Teaching efficacy showed direct effect on teacher-child interaction. That was the more teacher have teaching efficacy, teacher and child showed the more positive interaction. Thild, Teacher-child interaction showed direct effect on peer interaction. That was the more teacher and child showed positive interaction, child showed the more positive play interaction less play disconnection and disturbance. Forth, Teacher-child interaction showed the mediating effect between Teaching efficacy and Peer interaction. This research suggest the importance of teaching efficacy and need for teacher education program focusing on teaching efficacy.
