Kant"s efforts, socalled his rational theology to reveal the existence of God through practical reason and high wisdom without losing his scholarship have flowed along the tradition of German ideology and influenced in M. Scheler"s religious philosophy. And M. Scheler insists that phenomenological experience is an experience immanent in consciousness rather than an experience of something outside us, and does that it is even so more especially in the field of religion, when looking for objects in a phenomenological method. Then in a religious region, phenomena are immanently pre-given to our consciousness by the Absolute, and with our religious act, they are better conscious and better known to us.
According to his religious phenomenology, phenomena of religion are not conscious of us without relying on the Absolute. And in our consciousness of the religious phenomena, we are not in the lower region of a being-hierarchy but in the highest region such as religious ritual area dependent on the Absolute. So, when we meet God with a religious act such as faith, we meet and know only God whom God previously pre-gives to our consciousness.
In his religious phenomenology, it can be seen that conscious act or phenomenological experience is constrained in the Absolute and dependent on it, and that religious acts such as faith, praying, worship, communion with something Divine, repentance, awe, love of God awake our consciousness or phenomenological experience, and ultimately that religious acts towards the Absolute raise our consciousness level.
Because a level of consciousness depends more on the Person of a individual in religion than in the other field such as natural science, mental science, a cultivation of the Person by faith may desperately be needed. In order to cultivate the Person of modern material civilization human, Scheler comes to speak of a cultivation of the individual Person or the therapist of the age. This therapist is a person who exerts curative psychic techniques that can relieve material civilization men from their idols, and who probably has a phenomenological intuition about the religious phenomenon.
