The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of dramatization play using personality-related picture books on personality and pro-social behavior of infants. 18 4-year-old infants who are hospitalized at G kindergarten located in Sejong Special Self-Governing City were selected as an experimental group and 18 as a control group. The study period is from April 5 to July 16, 2021, and the studies were conducted in the order of pre-test, experimental treatment, and post-test. Based on one picture book per week, the experimental group performed a dramatization using a total of 15 picture books for 15 weeks, and the control group performed the same picture book listening activity as the experimental group. The study revealed that dramatization using personality-related picture books had a positive effect on each sub-element of infant personality and each sub-element of pro-social behavior. This suggests that infants can improve their personality by experiencing various character virtues in the process of becoming characters in picture books through character-related picture books, and that pro-social behavior can be improved by adjusting their emotions to suit the situation and taking into account others" emotions.
