This study is one of the basic studies to explore the meaning of art education based on society. The purpose of this study is to understand the personal and social identity in socially engaged art and the process of composition in art education. Art education curriculum must be developed to be relevant to the social environment. It is needed artistic controversies and researches surrounding perception to society, art, and education in art education. In this study, the society, art and education are closely interrelated. It is important to establish a philosophical and reflective approach to education through artistic controversy rather than participating in work or projects in socially engaged art. Therefore, we should build personal and social identity and contribute to art education.
