The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of directors‘ coaching leadership, child care center teachers’ job stress and empowerment on organizational commitment. Data were collected from 361 child care center teachers. To collect the data, instrument such as teachers’ organizational commitment, job stress and empowerment and directors’ coaching leadership were used. All research variables were measured using by self-reported questionnaires and were analyzed with Pearson’s correlation and structural equational modeling. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows: first, directors’ coaching leadership was found to affect child care center teachers’ organizational commitment directly and indirectly through teachers’ job stress and empowerment. Second, child care center teachers’ empowerment and job stress were found to affect directly teachers’ organizational commitment. Third, directors’ coaching leadership was to be the most important variable predicting teachers’ organizational commitment. In conclusion, the directors’ coaching leadership and teachers’ empowerment directly improves child care center teachers’ organizational commitment while, the teachers’ job stress directly reduces the commitment. And the directors‘ coaching leadership improves teachers’ empowerment and reduces their job stress, indirectly influencing those teachers’ organizational commitment improvement. Especially, that directors’ coaching leadership is the most important factor of that improvement.
