The study was intended to identify the physiological change of high-school boys due to the administration of running combined with circuit weight training and running combined resistant weight training on cardiorespiratory function, body composition and serum lipids, and to investigate it`s effect on their competitive power. Fourteen participants were randomly allocated to running combined with circuit weight group(RCG, n=7) and running combined with resistance weight group(RRG, n=7). All data were expressed as mean and standard deviation by using SPSS Window 11.0 package program. The .05 level was initially established in significance. The findings of this study were as follows : 1) In the changes of cardiorespiratory function factors, the RCG and the RRG were significant differences in all factors except V (E)max in the RRG. In the change between groups, the RCG was significantly higher than RRG group in V (E)max, VO2max and exhaustion time. 2) In the changes of body composition factors, the RCG and the RRG were significant differences in all factors except BMI in the RCG. In the change between groups, the RCG and the RRG were no difference. 3) In the changes of serum lipid factors, the RCG was significant differences in TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, except TG, FFA. The RRG was no difference. In the change between groups, the RCG was significantly lower than RRG group in TC, TG, LDL-C and FFA. In conclusion, running combining with circuit weight training and running combined with resistant weight training are more useful training method for improving record and physical fitness in High-School Boys. The RCG in cardiorespiratory function and serum lipid shows more profitable change than RRG does.
