The purpose of this study was to establish the concept of cultural heritage media in the field of visual culture content. Based on this concept, this study examined the current state of research on cultural heritage embraced by the mass media and recommended directions for future studies on cultural heritage media. The agent was not media studies or communication studies, but the more broadly defined humanities (history, folklore, cultural heritage studies, and cultural content studies). Here, the researcher’s awareness of media criticism played an important role. Broadcasting content was regarded as a form of archive, and this can be seen as an expansion of the academic responsibility to analyze and criticize the archiving of cultural heritage as archetypes and models. The recommendations made in this study emphasize the value of humanities and also serve as pre-conditions for the convergence of cultural heritage and cultural content. At the same time, they are a value judgment of broadcasting content studies in the field of visual culture content and a useful reference for the production of such content.
