The purpose of this study was to explore general tendencies, and group differences of parents’ supervision and children’s school, and to analyze variables that affect children’s school adjustment by child care type. Data from the 8th year Korea Child Panel was used. These data were collected from 1,413 1st grade boys and girls, in elementary schools nationwide. Key results of this study are as follow: first, the level of parents’ supervision was high, and those of children’s school adjustment, was very high. As to group differences by child care type, parents’ supervision level by mother care type was higher than by others’ care type. But the level of children’s school adjustment, was not different between the groups. Second, hierarchical regression revealed that variables explaining children’s school adjustment were sex, total family income by month, and parents’ supervision. That is, if they were girls, had much money, and parents’ supervision more, their school adjustment was good. Based on study results, discussion and implication were suggested.
