The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between the school environment and subjective happiness of upper grades of elementary school. This research analyzed data of 458 students who were 4-6th grades of elementary school from 10th data of the Korea Welfare Panel Study(2015). In order to identify the school environment factors affecting the subjective happiness of the study subjects, this research employed the multiple regression analysis method. The study indicates that school connectedness, school violence, academic stress, peer attachment and academic performance are the significant school environment factors influencing subjective happiness of children. That is, elementary students who have or experience more school connectedness, less school violence, less academic stress, more peer attachment and higher academic performance are likely to feel happier. This finding raises the necessity of school welfare anc educational policy for enhancing the happiness of children through change of school environment.
