The purpose of this research was to analyze 'Teacher's Manual for Age 3-5 Nuri Curriculum' in order to increase young children's teachers understanding as a way of contributing toward high-quality child music education in future. 213 music and rhythmic activities planned for large and small group musical activities printed in 31 volumes of 'Teacher's Manual for Age 3 Nuri Curriculum' were analyzed in terms of contents categories, teaching-learning method, emphasized aspects such as music concept understanding, musical behavior and music attitude in assessments, and utilized teaching material in classroom. The results of this research are as follows; First, it was found that ‘artistic expression’ was more frequently performed in large group music activity hour compared to free time rhythmic activity hour, 'Finding beauty' and 'Art appreciation' were vice versa. Second, in terms of teaching-learning method, there was lack of process explanation in beginning and ending parts compared to developing part of music activities. Third, as for the assessments, music behavior was highly considered compared to music understanding and musical attitude. Last, CD was a typical teaching material for large group music activity hour while musical instruments like Changgo and Sogo were for free time rhythmic activity hour. In conclusion, singing was the most representative in large group music activity hour while instrumental activities were typical in free time rhythmic activity hour. In order to increase the quality of music class for child care centers and kindergartens, there is a need to revise「Teacher's Manual for Age 3-5 Nuri Curriculum」with consideration of emphasized musical concept and elements, diverse musical activities and teaching material. It was also suggested that professional cooperation between curriculum experts and music educators is needed for better curriculum.
