Report Errors
This study examines the consumer’s anxiety and competency on risks from chemical household products. The survey was carried out by Macromill Embrain from October 4th to 8th over, 2013. The results of data analyses are as follows. First, there is a significant gap, both in the past and at present, between subjective and objective knowledge on chemical household products among consumers. Second, 40.8% of the respondents answered that chemical household products were “not safe”. Third, the most frequent responses regarding attitude toward the hazardous property of chemical household products were “I feel dread” and “It is unknown”. Fourth, a majority of respondents regarded the consumer’s function in handling chemical household products as positive.
