This study was conducted to analyze whether the character strength of early childhood teachers had a moderating effect on the relationship between the organizational culture and their happiness, and thereby, to provide specific data on the factors affecting the happiness of early childhood teachers. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 370 teachers. In order to verify the suggested research model, the collected data were analyzed using SPSS for Win. 24.0 and the AMOS 24.0 program. The results were as follows. First, the organizational culture had a positive effect on the happiness of teachers to a significant degree. Second, among the character strengths of teachers, ‘transcendence’ showed a moderating effect on the relationship between group culture and teachers’ happiness while 'temperance' moderated the relationship between rational culture and teachers’ happiness. Furthermore, it was shown that 'temperance’ and ‘transcendence’ had a moderating effect on the relationship between development culture and teachers' happiness. Also, ‘courage’, ‘temperance’ and ‘transcendence’ had the similar effect on the relationship between hierarchy culture and teachers’ happiness. The results provide implications for identifying the character strength to be utilized by the early childhood teachers, to complement their pursuit of happiness in different organizational culture according to each early childhood education institution.
