The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the positive psychological capital of early childhood teachers, creative competency of institutions, and the digital play support competency, and to analyze the effects of positive psychological capital of early childhood teachers and creative competency of institutions on the digital play support competency of early childhood teachers. The subjects of this study were 219 early childhood teachers working at kindergartens and daycare centers in K-do, selected as convenience sampling, and data were collected by distributing an online questionnaire using Google Form. The collected research data were verified through Pearson product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a positive correlation between early childhood teachers’ digital play support competency, positive psychological capital, and creative competency of institutions. In addition, it was found that the early childhood teachers’ positive psychological capital and creative competency of institutions had an effect on early childhood teachers’ digital play support competency. This study is meaningful in that it presents internal and external support methods to improve early childhood teachers’ digital play support competency from an ecological perspective. This study will also provide basic data for early childhood teachers’ understanding of digital play support competency and preparing teacher education to revitalize digital play support in the era of the 4th industrial revolution.
