The purpose of this study was to prevent or manage obesity and increase physical fitness through exercise programming to decrease body fat and to increase lean body mass by analyzing the changing of body composition and physical fitness.
The exercise programming for this study consisted of warming up(5-10min), main exercise(50-70min), and cooling down (5-10min).
The frequency of exercise was three or four days per a week with 60-80% intensity which was composed of two set(12-15 times per a set). The duration of this exercise programming was for 12 weeks.
The conclusions obtained from this study were as follows;
1. The analysis of body composition
1) The lean body mass
There were significant difference in the main effect on all the period, group and gender and so was it in the interaction of period-gender, but there were no significant difference in other interaction.
2) The body fat(%)
There were significant difference in period, gender, group and period-group, but there were significant no difference in the interaction effect between other factors.
2. The analysis of physical fitness
1) Muscle strength(Grip strength)
There were significant difference in period, gender and period*gender.
2) Muscle endurance(Sit-up)
There were significant difference in the period, gender and group.
3) Flexibility(Trunk flextion)
There were significant difference in the period, group and period*group, groups*gender.
4) Balance(Stork standing)
There were significant difference in the period and group.
The results of the present study showed that the decrease in body fat and the increase in protein were caused by the combined weight training which consisted of aerobic and anaerobic training.
As like the results of present study, the effects played an important part in treating obesity and growing up physical fitness. Therefore, the results of present study are more likely to provide the basic information for those who are obese or fat.
