The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of professionalism and job satisfaction of teachers in 0-year-old classes. The subjects were 259 teachers of special child-care centers for 0-year-old and 271 teachers of general child-care centers. The data were analyzed by independent sample t-tests, correlations, and multiple regression. The results of the study were as follows. First, the level of teacher’s perceptions of professionalism was high, and job satisfaction was above average. Teachers of special child-care centers for 0-year-old showed higher level of perceptions of professionalisms and job satisfaction than teachers of general child-care centers. Second, there were statistically significant positive correlations between teacher’s perceptions of professionalism and job satisfaction. Third, there were statistically significant effects on the job satisfaction of the type of child-care, and perceptions of professionalism of socioeconomic status, autonomy, and professional knowledge and skills. The results of this study provide suggestions for improving perceptions of professionalism and job satisfaction of teachers in 0-year-old classes.
