The Purpose of the study is to investigate the elements for lessons of creating Korean Music in schools, and to provide the models of instruction for creating Korean music. Generally speaking, the models of instruction is a structured concept that simplifies, using the basic elements, the complicated phenomena of teaching and learning. Although it is not concrete lesson plan, it gives the music teachers some strategies and guidelines for their teachings. Important elements in creating such as composition, improvisation, rhythmic patterns of Korean traditional music, melodies based on traditional scales, creating music with instruments, music drama based on Korean music were explained in terms of teaching models. In addition, four models of instruction(creating rhythmic pattern, creating melodies, improvisation, and music drama based on Korean music) were provided for music teachers. I hope that many music teachers might use the teaching models in their creating Korean music classes, and that students will improve their creativity by various activities of music making.
